Doctor's Orders
In "Doctor's Orders," the NX-01 is on course to a red giant star based on information gained in a prior episode, when it comes up against a massive trans-dimensional disturbance — more hazardous than the Expanse's other anomalies as it is fatal to human neurology. Phlox can protect the humans from exposure by inducing a comatose state, so to avoid a lengthy detour around the phenomenon, Archer lets him put the crew to sleep for four days after the doctor is trained to monitor ship's functions. Phlox then has full run of the ship, left only in the company of Porthos and T'pol — but the Vulcan is unable to help out much because her resistance to the deleterious space is in question.

Hatchery
Enterprise discovers a Xindi-Insectoid ship crashed on a small barren planet, its crew dead. Upon investigation, it's learned they weren't killed in the crash, but rather they intentionally suffocated so all life support could be transferred to an incubation chamber on the ship holding several dozen Insectoid eggs. The eggs are trying to hatch, but their bio-support is failing, and Archer seems determined to help the offspring survive.

Azati Prime
the NX-01 finally reaches the red giant star Azati Prime, where — it was learned in a prior episode — the Xindi superweapon designed to annihilate Earth is undergoing its final phases of construction. After the crew locates the massive object underwater on an ocean planet, they realize its destruction will require a suicide mission. Archer insists on doing it himself. But then Daniels shows up and throws a new wrinkle into the plans. The episode will answer substantial lingering questions about the Xindi story arc, while raising even new mysteries.
